Happy New Day
What if we could bring the optimism, resolve and enthusiasm that we have at the start of a new year into every new day?
Research says that we stop saying Happy New year to each other every year around January 11th. This is also the approximate date that we start to break our new years resolutions and go back to our old patterns and habits.
So instead of saying happy new year at the beginning of every year, what if we switched to saying happy new day at the start of every day?
What if we even just said it to ourselves?
Instead of thinking about the whole year ahead and making drastic changes, just think about keeping one small promise to yourself today. And then do it again tomorrow.
Because Each and every new day we have the opportunity to begin again.
Every day….
We can make new choices.
We can question our beliefs.
We can recommit to our goals.
We can bring kindness and compassion to others
We can bring kindness and compassion to ourselves.
Every day we get to start again.
We can plan for the future and stay focused on today.
Because today is all we have.
You don’t have to wait for January 1st.
Your Happy New Day can start today.
