Right now, in this moment
3/21/20
In this time of crisis our collective stress seems to be keeping us all on high alert. We are in constant flight/fight mode and peace seems difficult to find.
However, we cannot flee or fight anything right now so we stay in this stressful state. And the long term effects of staying here are detrimental.
So for the wellbeing of ourselves and those around us, we must find a way to be calmer in the midst of chaos.
The key is the present moment. In this moment you can choose to find peace.
Yogis and meditation teachers are always advising us about the present moment but now more than ever our ability to find the present moment is our superpower.
Journal. Meditate. Breathe. do Whatever it takes to bring you back to the moment.
Allow yourself to realize that In this moment all is well, in this moment I have so much to be grateful for, in this moment I can find the peace.
In this moment the past is gone and the future is not here yet.
Being in this moment is big work. And It is totally understandable that this practice can feel like checking out of reality right now. Your brain might scream that you need to stay in high alert to take care of your family and your business.
This is not a denial of the current situation. This is a realization that the the way through the chaos is to find the peace. Being in this moment will help you find your footing and keep you grounded to face your challenges.
So allow yourself to be here now:
In this moment we can breathe.
In this moment we can have stillness.
In this moment we can choose to see the good. .
In this moment we can find our center.
A course in Miracles says “ Fear is not of the present but only of the past and future, which do not exist”.
Know that In this moment, you are safe.
