When we decide to create something new in our lives, we often focus on making plans, setting goals and doing all that we can do to make change happen.
However, when we get caught up in Action, we can easily overlook the most important component of creating change- our Emotions.
Of course Action matters. But it is our Emotional Alignment with our Future Self that brings about real and lasting change.
You have to learn to feel the feelings of your future self in spite of what you see in your life as your current reality. You have to feel the emotions of your dream before it actually comes true.
Whatever your goal or dream is, You’ll Fulfill it once you Feel it.
But how how do we feel our future when we can’t yet see evidence of it in our physical world? How do we feel the feelings of having our dream job, partner, home, etc. when we are still feeling the feelings of the life we can see here and now?
First, we need to become aware that we have a Superpower- it’s called our Imagination. We can conjure up emotions just by thought alone. We do this all the time- we remember a happy time and feel joy or we imagine a stressful situation and feel dread. We can create our feelings independent of external events.
So whatever dream you want to fulfill, imagine what it would feel like to be living that life now. How would you feel if your dream had already been fulfilled? Peaceful? Secure? Relaxed? Proud?
Really try to get into the feelings. Write them down. Spend time in meditation.
And as much as possible throughout your day try to live from the feelings of your future life.
This is big work -be kind and gentle.
Once you master this you will become emotionally aligned with your future self.
And once you can feel it, you’ll fulfill it.
